The Sacrament of Holy Communion

The holy Eucharist completes Christian Initiation. Those who have been raised to the dignity of the royal priesthood by Baptism, and configured more deeply to Christ by Confirmation participate with the whole community in the Lord's own sacrifice by means of the Eucharist

First Holy Communion is for those in school year 4 or above.

A preparation course for the Sacrament of Eucharist, for those who haven’t yet made their first Holy Communion, is run by parish catechists. It is open to children aged 8-9, i.e. school year 4, or above. Please contact the parish priest  if you would like to enrol your child on the course.

Confirmation Candidates are warmly invited for their formation session at St Mary’s Hall on Sunday 26 th January 2025, 12 Noon to 3pm. Please bring a packed lunch. Parents are invited to meet with Fr Gerard at 2.30pm for an update on the same day. Please note this is the only session we are running and it is essential to attend before the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation. Home work: please bring with a Saints/Biblical name for your Confirmation name.
